Worship still taking place in church in Tier 4 (but under review)
Although we are now in tier 4 in Bolsover District this does not affect our worship. Our next service is Sunday 3rd January at 10am at Clowne church and this will also be livestreamed on Facebook. Phone Church continues every Thursday morning. We will keep things under review and should the covid levels worsen we may close the church building for in-person worship and move online. Special Notice on the reopening of our church buildings
Dear friends, You’ll have seen that the announcement was made this week that we are permitted to return to worship in churches from 4th July. After some prayer and discussion we have decided that we will reopen our church buildings as follows: Barlborough – first Sunday back will be 26th July for St James’ Patronal Festival at 10.00am. Worshipping in a time of Coronavirus – message from the Rector
Dear friends, I write this with a heavy heart. Following the advice of the Archbishops all public services are suspended in our churches until further notice. This means no Eucharist on Thursdays or Sundays. We are in a strange new world that we will all have to adjust to. Barlborough’s first Grand Christmas Tree Festival – starts Sat 24 Nov 11am
St James Parish church in Barlborough is helping the community to get into the Christmas spirit with its very first Grand Christmas Tree Festival running over three weekends beginning on Saturday 24th November. The church will be open from 11am-5pm serving refreshments and you can browse all the Christmas Trees on display from local organisations and businesses.
