VE Day Celebration Service 10.15am St James, Barlborough 8th May

On Thursday 8th May it is the 80th Anniversary of VE Day and we are having a special service at 10.15am at St James Barlborough in place of our usual eucharist. The children from Barlborough Primary school will be attending but everyone else is welcome to come along as well. Barlborough celebrates VE Day at home

To commemorate V.E. Day, Friday 8th May, 2020, the Parish Council will hang bunting from the railings outside St.James’ Church, Barlborough. The bunting has been decorated by local groups including children and young people. The Chair to the Parish Council, Jane Haywood, will also play 1940s music on Clowne Road Barlborough at approximately 3.00p.m., following the broadcast of Sir Winston Churchill’s Victory Speech.
