9. Jesus questions Peter [John 21:15-19]
When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, ‘Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?’ He said to him, ‘Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.’
Peter denied Jesus three times. At the barbecue on the beach after the resurrection, Jesus restores Peter by asking him if he loves him three times.
There is nothing we can do that will make God love us more, there is nothing we can do to make God love us less. That’s amazing grace!
We adore you O Christ and we bless you
Because by your glorious resurrection you have given light to the world
