Hello from the Rector

Dear friends,

This Sunday we have  morning prayer at Clowne at 8.30am and our Eucharist at 10am at Barlborough (followed by refreshments) and our Refresh service at 5pm at Clowne – why not try out this relaxed and meditative service?

This year we need to completely refresh the Electoral Roll in both our parishes. Please complete a new electoral roll form (even if you have been on the roll in the past). These are available at the back of church. Thank you. Being on the electoral roll gives you the opportunity to vote for our church wardens and PCC members at the Annual Meeting. Anyone over the age of 16 can be on the electoral roll.

A quick note for those of you who watch our services on Youtube. When the service is at Barlborough we record the service and then upload it on a Sunday afternoon – this improves the quality of the video – if we livestream it is less good. Living in Love and Faith – a study session exploring sexuality and gender and the church
On Wednesday 26th February at 7pm we are holding a study session at Clowne to look at the topic of sexuality and gender and the church. This is the first time we have explored this topic together and will give congregation members (from both our churches) an opportunity to ask questions and explore how the church can welcome all people into our fellowship. It will be the beginning of our discussions about how we will engage with new materials from the Church of England offering Prayers of Love and Faith to same sex couples as and when they are authorised. PCC members are particularly encouraged to attend but all are welcome who are interested in this topic.
