Dear friends,
I’m back from my holiday all refreshed, thanks to those of you who held the fort while I was gone!
This Sunday we have morning prayer at 8.30am and our relaxed Refresh service at Clowne at 5pm and our Sung Eucharist followed by refreshments and raffle for World Vision at 10am at Barlborough.
Next Wednesday 30th Sept our Finding Faith course starts with a session all about the bible – if this interests you, why not turn up? The more the merrier! 7.30pm in Clowne church.

Exploring Spirituality Course
Our next small group bible study course will be looking at different forms of spirituality. The sessions will be on Tuesdays at 7.30pm fortnightly in Clowne church. You’re welcome to attend all or just whichever take your interest! Each session will involve a short bible study and then trying out the style of prayer or contemplation.
22 Sept – Ignatian Spirituality
6 Oct – The Jesus Prayer
20 Oct – Praying with beads
3 Nov – Contemplative Prayer
17 Nov – Lectio Divina
Finding Faith Confirmation Course
This is a course for anyone wanting to explore Christianity whether you’ve been coming for a long time or are new to all this. There will be an opportunity to be confirmed at the end of the course in a service at St John’s Newbold on Sunday 22nd November at 6pm. Sessions will be held in Clowne church at 7.30pm on these Wednesday evenings:
