Hello from the Rector
Dear friends,
This Sunday is a fifth Sunday of the month so we are having a Healing Eucharist at Clowne. During the service there will be an opportunity to receive the laying on of hands and anointing with holy oil for healing and wholeness. This is a moving experience whether you feel currently well or not! We all need healing in different ways in our lives and this is an opportunity to come before God and say ‘I need you’.
Then a week on Sunday (6th Sept) we have at 3.00pm (NOT 5pm as previously advertised) our Bolsover District Council Civic Service at St James Barlborough, hope to see you there.

Civic Service 6th September 3pm
As last year we are hosting again the Bolsover District Council Civic Service at St James Barlborough. Do come along as we celebrate all the work our local public servants do and pray for our local area. There will be good refreshments after the service!
Confirmation course and service
We are now going to join with the deanery for our confirmation service this autumn instead of this summer – it wasn’t possible to align diaries for August. The confirmation service will take place at St John’s Newbold on Sunday 22nd November at 6pm. A confirmation course will take place at Clowne church in the autumn for anyone interested in being confirmed or in taking a basic Christianity course. Please speak to Rev Bryony for more information.
