On Thursday 8th May it is the 80th Anniversary of VE Day and we are having a special service at 10.15am at St James Barlborough in place of our usual eucharist. The children from Barlborough Primary school will be attending but everyone else is welcome to come along as well. After the short service in church we will gather for an act of remembrance in the Memorial Garden at 11am. I’m delighted that we will be sharing with our local children all about the importance of this date in our history.
