Hello from the Rector

Dear friends,

Alleluia, Christ is Risen! He is risen indeed, alleluia!

Please note our upcoming annual meetings taking place after the 10am eucharist. Please stay behind to help us elect our church wardens and PCC members and hear a report of the last year’s activities. Barlborough 11^th May 11.15am, Clowne 18^th May 11.15am. Please make every effort to stay for these annual meetings, thank you.

We are putting on a new course for small group reading The Book of Forgiving by Desmond and Mpho Tutu. Sessions will be as follows at 7.30pm at Clowne:
 
Tuesday  13^th May – Why forgive?
Tuesday 27^th May – What forgiveness is not
Tuesday  10^th June – Understanding the fourfold path
Tuesday  24^th June – Telling the story, naming the hurt
Tuesday 8^th July – Granting Forgiveness, renewing or releasing the relationship
Tuesday 22^nd July –  Needing forgiveness, forgiving yourself
 
Please let me know if you would like to order the book. All are welcome to attend.

This Summer as part of the Big Barlborough Festival we are running our first Brick and Flower Festival and are inviting submissions. Perhaps you would like to do a floral arrangement (the theme is toys) or perhaps you have an amazing lego creation that could be put on display? Either way, please let me know if you would like to take part, the more the merrier! Set up will be on Friday 12th July.
